SAVE THE EARTH

To lessen its carbon impact, Walkerhill Hotels & Resorts has solar power generation facilities inside the hotel. These facilities generate enough energy daily for roughly 1,200 LED lighting.
In order to reach EV100 by 2030, we are also launching electric vehicles and setting up electric vehicle chargers.
Additionally, we engage in several activities with our clients, including energy-saving "Global Earth Hour" initiatives and water conservation campaigns.

Additionally, we are attempting to create a sound economic model that develops together through smart commercial partnerships and collaborative product development with social companies.

Walkerhill's Practice of Social Value

Meal Sharing, Warm Contact

한끼 나눔 온(溫)택트

Meal Sharing, Warm Contact

In the SK Group's "Meal Sharing, Warm Contact Project," Walkerhill Hotels & Resorts extends warmth to the community. At the Gwangjin Senior Welfare Center in January 2021, 200 elderly members of vulnerable groups received packed lunches, traditional Korean delicacies, and masks from Walkerhill executives and staff.

The Walkerhill culinary team directly provided menu consulting and Walkerhill SUPEX kimchi to provide healthy lunch boxes to older adults at this event. By working with a local lunch box company whose sales have decreased due to COVID-19, Walkerhill added its meaning to supporting small businesses. Additionally, we demonstrate our concern for the environment using tableware and packaging made of sustainable materials.

Sponsoring Gwangjin
Food Market

광진푸드 마켓 후원

Sponsoring Gwangjin Food Market

Walkerhill supports the "Gwangjin Food Market" as one of its initiatives for sharing and coexisting with the neighborhood. In addition to our regular contributions, we also provide the Gwangjin Food Market, which is frequented by low-income locals in need of food assistance, with HMR (Home Meal Replacement) products like Walkerhill Gomtang (beef-bone soup), Galbitang (short-rip soup), and Supex Kimchi.

MOU between Walkerhill
and SK Geocentric

워커힐 & SK 종합화학 MOU 체결

MOU between Walkerhill and SK Geocentric

To establish a plastic recycling ecosystem, Walkerhill Hotels & Resorts and SK Geocentric reached an understanding in January 2021. Walkerhill is pushing eco-friendly plastic materials in hotel room amenities, fixtures, and packaging through collaboration with SK Geocentric, which focuses on manufacturing eco-friendly plastic goods derived from recovered waste plastic.

Additionally, we are trying to limit plastic usage by replacing current plastic products with ones made of biodegradable materials.

Introduction of Employee SV Point System

Small efforts will be crucial in preserving the ecosystem, just as small things in daily life add to significant changes. Walkerhill is developing an employee SV point system to drive incremental improvements with employees.

We have set five norms of conduct to prevent unintentional waste of time and resources, cut down on waste, and motivate our staff to follow them.

Governence

WALKERHILL HOTELS & RESORTS ESG
